Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's Office has joined hands with SistaMoon Foundation. I had a meeting with his Regional Representative Janice Miller on June 10th 2009. I provided her with a presentation regarding Devic's Disease. She was very excited, engaged and helpful. She has committed to helping SistaMoon Foundation for Devic's Disease bring more awareness to this rare, under-diagnosed and mis-diagnosed disease to the attention to as many people, agencies we can. As soon as the details are available, I will post them. I am currently waitng for responses from the various other local public news stations and high ranking officials I sent presentations to. During the meeting we were able to convey that this disease is also a womans issue. 80-90% of individuals diagnosed with this disease are women.
