Ellen is an example of the 35% of African American women who have been misdiagnosed with MS when what she really had was Devic's Disease. I can not wait until the day when this no longer happens.
Ellen is a beautiful young woman who was misdiagnosed in 2006 with MS. It took several attacks prior to her being diagnosed with Devic's Disease. I want to take this opportunity to show Ellen that I support her and will do all that I can to make sure she continues to know she is loved and her life will not go unnoticed. It is also my responsibility to make sure that Devic's Disease is known by everyone, everywhere to prevent further misdiagnoses.
