When People are willing to share their knowledge with other individuals, it is a wonderful thing. I am inspired and uplifted at the response I have received from the Doctors and Researchers who have reached out to me by responding to my emails and helping me learn all that I can about Devic's Disease/NMO. By doing so, I have been put in the position to help others learn as well. I thank Dr. Gotkine from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to respond to my questions and to provide me with information that can only help me become more informed and educated with respect to Devic's Disease.
In my quest to learn about Devic's Disease, I came across Dr. Marc Gotkine's name in an article "Occurrence of CNS demyelinating disease in patients with myasthenia gravis"

I emailed Dr. Gotkine to find out if he was aware of Devic's Disease/NMO and if so what kind of research his department has been a part of. He thanked me for my interest in their research and he sent me a list of publications related to NMO. Dr. Gotkine and his colleagues continue to perform research on NMO including clinical studies such as the value of maintenance plasmapheresis in NMO. Dr. Gotkine also referred me to Dr. Sanj Patel who in turn provided me with other resources to post on the SistaMoon Foundation website.
